My Experience : First off, wish you all a very Happy Women’s Day! Yes, we do need a day to celebrate womanhood, cause.. why the hell not?! Think of people who make you feel most secure in your life, and it will most likely be a woman! So yes, we do need to acknowledge and celebrate!

Second off, a BIG thank you to all of you who have stuck around while I went through a tough phase in my life.. Last 6 months have been full of madness and I have been so terribly busy with other aspects of my life that my blog & channel were amongst the casualties! And then I kind of went through a ‘writer’s block’. But I am so glad to be writing again ( and very soon, making videos again).

Back to the product of the day!

Sephora has been opening several stores all over India and bringing several exciting brands to us. But I have heard such good things about their in-house, their very own brand, Sephora Collections, that I had to try. Usually, when I try a new brand, I tend to go for their lipsticks. But I have had such an overload of lipsticks lately that I literally don’t need a new one for next 5 years ( doesn’t mean I wouldn’t buy more, obviously! 😛 )

This eye pencil is your traditional, wooden base, need-to-sharpen kind of pencil. It comes packaged in a plastic shell vacuum sealed onto it. The bottom tip is color coded, and pretty darn accurate.

The tip of the pencil is nice & pointy when it’s fresh but it obviously starts to get blunt upon use. When you sharpen it, some amount of product gets wasted as well. But that’s the case with all sharpen able pencils and if that’s a concern for you, then stick to the twist-up kind of pencils.

The consistency is truly gorgeous. It is soft & silky upon application. You know how some water-proof pencils tend to be chalky & hard, this is the exact opposite! It feels like butter and does not tug or pull at all when you are applying on the eye lids. This is a boon, especially for us who have a little loose skin over the eye lids.

This shade is what drew me towards this collection, its one of those perfect teal-peacock blue- shimmery shades that would suit all skin tones and would just look stunning with brown eyes! Its not too light that it would be turquoise and it’s not too dark that it would look black! Just right! Plus it has this duo-chrome kind of quality, when the light hits it at the right angle, it shows in its teal blue glory but at certain angles, it would look almost black!

Okay, now for the longevity. Now this is where most drugstore kind of products fall flat! They say water-proof etc etc but they really are not. For this particular product, I would say.. it is quite long-lasting. It lasted on me for good 10 hours on the waterline ( which is  a great feat in my opinion). It did smudge slightly towards the end of those 10 hours but nothing too bothersome. Is it water-proof, NO. Is it water-resistant, YES! That means that it would definitely resist getting washed off it you splash your eyes with water but if you wash your face with soap, then it would fade away.

To remove it completely, one would need an oil-based makeup remover.

This how it looks on the waterline. In contrast with a matte black liner on the upper lashline

One of the BEST qualities of this product is that it didn’t cause any irritation to my eyes, which is generally the case with all blue-based eye products! However, if you read the ingredients then Mica is 2nd on the list and it can be an irritant to many. So please use your discretion.

Over all, I would say it was a pleasant surprise for me. I never expected this pencil from this brand to perform well and it did.I would definitely love to try some other shades.

However, Sephora India does not house most shades in stock and one can’t even shop online from them here, so in that department Sephora, you need to STEP UP.

I would rate this product 4.5/5

Thanks for reading guys, hope  it was informative to you all.
